Photo Credit: Idaho Tourism Yankee Fork Gold Dredge Over time, Bayhorse became the longest-running silver producer in Idaho, but eventually was abandoned in 1915. The Beardsley and Ramshorn Mines took off in popularity as more and more veins were found. Nearly a decade later, Bayhorse really began to attract a following when an abundant silver vein was found. BayhorseĪround 1864, Bayhorse was established as a gold mining camp after a few gold veins were found in the area. Visitors to these sites today will find restored buildings, secluded cemeteries, and a history of the miners who flourished here. ![]() But the gold eventually dried up, and by 1911 these towns were vacated. In the 1880s, these towns saw rapid growth as miners found abundant ore. Located in central Idaho, the sister cities of Bonanza and Custer were tightly aligned in the 1870s-surviving and thriving off one another as the quest for gold drove people to this area. ![]() The Battle of Helm's Deep soon follows, in which Théoden’s army is vastly outnumbered. Meanwhile, Galadriel reminds Elrond that the Elves should honor their alliance to Men. Gandalf departs to ask Éomer and his followers to fight for their restored king. Théoden orders for the citizens of Rohan to be evacuated to the fortress of the Hornburg at Helm's Deep when he learns of Saruman’s plans to take over the city. Aragorn’s group is soon reunited with Gandalf, and together they travel to Rohan's capital, Edoras, where Gandalf breaks Théoden free from Saruman’s influence. He informs them that his men have been banished by Théoden, Rohan's king, who is largely under the control of his chief advisor Gríma Wormtongue (a secret ally of Saruman). When Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas pursue the Uruk-hai to save Merry and Pippin, they are led to the kingdom of Rohan, where they meet Éomer (the future King of Rohan). The film opens with the battle between Gandalf and the Balrog in Moria, after which the former is resurrected as Gandalf the White so he can help save Middle-earth. The three plot lines include Frodo and Sam’s journey to Mount Doom to destroy the Ring Merry and Pippin’s escape from the Uruk-hai and their efforts to convince the Ents to attack Saruman's fortress of Isengard and Gandalf the White’s encounter with Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas, who go on to battle Saruman’s army at Helm’s Deep. The second installment of The Lord of the Rings follows the remaining members of the Fellowship of the Ring who continue their quest, but on separate paths. ![]() Animals yell/growl/hiss/bark/yowl at and threaten each other and wreak havoc in human living spaces (messes, broken decor, etc.). Some animal characters want all humans to die a couple lie and say they've killed their owners (and go into detail about how the supposedly did it). ![]() Human Animal Control officers go after several characters on multiple occasions and sometimes succeed in grabbing them and locking them up in cages. Some scary/intimidating animals, including mangy alley cats, a huge viper, an alligator, a hungry hawk, and other predators one unsympathetic character dies in an altercation. At one point it looks like a main character may not survive. Chase scenes on foot and in vehicles (driven erratically and dangerously by animals) cars/buses crash into other vehicles, buildings, bridges, and more (sometimes catching on fire), and characters are pursued through dank, gloomy sewers. |
